Race Location The Heart of Duncanville 5K will be held in downtown Duncanville with the start/finish line in front of  Ben Franklin Apothecary, located at 302 N Main Street.

Race Course: The 5K race is certified by the USATF and includes views of Main Street, Lakeside Park, & several historic Duncanville neighborhoods.  Aid stations and water will be available at the start, finish and at the water stop at Lakeside Park. With the exception of wheelchairs, the race course is closed to bicycles and roller-blades. For the safety of all runners, strollers must begin toward the back of the start line. Pets are prohibited on the race course.

Chip Timing:  Only the 5K run will be chip-timed by DoMore Race Services.  The 1 Mile fun run is for fun!  🙂

Parking:  Free parking will be available throughout the Downtown District in Duncanville.   We advise arriving early to ensure that you arrive on-time to the event.

Entry Fees:

  • 5K (Timed) – thru 10/11 – $20
  • 5K (Team Rate) – 10 runners or more – $15
  • 5K – Race Day – $25
  • 1 Mile (Untimed) – $15
  • * Registrations after Oct. 6th are not guaranteed an event t-shirt. Please register and pick up your packet early to ensure best selection of sizes.

Weather Conditions:  The race is held rain or shine. Weather forecasts will be monitored prior to the event, with special attention placed on the possibility of heavy rain, thunder and lightning, high winds and extreme temperatures. If necessary, participants will be made aware of these conditions and possible dangers on this website, as well as through other means of communication such as e-mail, social media and public address announcements.

Race officials, in consultation with the city of Duncanville, National Weather Service and DoMore Race Services, will monitor the weather and make a decision if any action will be taken to modify the race. Visible lightning will cause the race to be delayed.  If the race is canceled, it will not be re-scheduled. Refunds and/or deferrals will not be made in the case of inclement weather cancellations
